A passenger on an Alaska Airlines plane said that a flight attendant made her feel “degraded” and “ashamed” for wearing cropped outfits on the trip.
“I have never felt more degraded, ashamed, embarrassed, angry or sad. F ALASKA AIRLINES!” Passenger Sierra Steadman captioned a TikTok video.
Steadman is seen in the TikTok video crying while wearing a mask and shaking his head. The text of the video reads: “When the flight attendant shames you in front of the whole plane and threatens to kick you out for what you are wearing”.

The video has been viewed over 7 million times, and Steadman went on to explain that a flight attendant allegedly “screamed” and “grabbed my arm” during an interaction regarding her outfit.
In a follow-up video, Steadman revealed she was wearing white shorts, a black crop top and a gray sweatshirt on the flight.
“The appropriation of the outfit aside, there was no reason to physically and verbally assault me and humiliate myself especially when I granted his request,” she commented.
She says she was stopped by the flight attendant upon boarding and told to zip up her sweatshirt. Steadman says she complied with the request, but the flight attendant reportedly continued yelling at her in front of other passengers, which Steadman noted as “where’s the problem.”

“I had no problem with her asking me to close my jacket,” Steadman said. “You know what, it’s her plane. She works on the plane. If that’s what she wants, then I’ll close my jacket.”
“My problem is how she acted after I granted her request.”
Alaska Airlines did not immediately return Fox News’ request for comment. Steadman shared in another follow-up video what appears to be an email from the company to his mother indicating that the company is conducting an internal investigation.

“You and your daughter should expect nothing less than to be treated with the utmost respect, compassion and care”, the email says of his flight from Seattle. “It is truly disappointing to hear that you did not feel this way when boarding and interacting with our flight attendant. We want to assure you that we take these matters very seriously and have shared your concern. with our in-flight management team conducting an internal investigation. “
