A New York woman who imitated the seal of the state of Virginia by exposing her breast in front of the Capitol during a demonstration in favor of the Equalization Amendment is currently detained without bail.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, a magistrate initially fixed the bond of Michelle Sutherland, 45, at $ 700, but the chief justice of Richmond District Court, Lawrence B. Cann III, ordered Tuesday until March 21st.

Sutherland was arrested on Monday for indecent indictment. The attorneys claim that holding someone without an engagement for a non-violent offense is unusual.

Sutherland's defense attorney and Richmond Commonwealth attorney Michael Herring ask the judge to remit his sentence. Herring says that a judge could sign a release order. The judge refused an interview with the newspaper.
