Hair (problems) today, gone tomorrow?

Tessica Brown, the Louisiana woman who was forced into treatment after using Gorilla Glue to style her hair, says she is going to a surgeon for help removing the product.

“I’ll be leaving tomorrow to see a surgeon,” she wrote on Instagram Tuesday afternoon. “I’ll update you guys as soon as I hear back.”

Brown had previously admitted to an emergency room in Chalmette, Louisiana, where she was reportedly instructed to sterilize water and nail polish remover to try and soften the glue. Now she is said to be traveling to Los Angeles to meet with plastic surgeon Dr Michael Obeng, who has offered her services for free, reports TMZ.

WOMAN WHO CUT HAIR WITH GORILLA GLUE CONSIDERING THE COMBINATION

Brown originally shared his story last week, in a TikTok video viewed more than 24 million times Wednesday morning. In it, she admitted to using Gorilla Glue spray adhesive on her head, after running out of her favorite brand of hairspray.

Brown, who called herself “Gorilla Glue girl” on YouTube, claimed she had not been able to remove the glue since spraying it on her “do” about a month before asking help at the hospital over the weekend. In the days that followed, Brown claimed to have tried conditioners, tea tree oil and coconut oil – as well as nail polish remover for nail polish and rubbing alcohol – to remove glue, to no avail. She and a friend, however, had some success with a superglue remover and managed to cut Brown’s ponytail, according to pictures shared with TMZ.

Now the Los Angeles plastic surgeon will try to remove the rest of the glue from his hair and scalp in a procedure that can take up to three days and cost more than $ 12,000, the outlet reports.

Brown, meanwhile, has already raised more than $ 17,000 through an online fundraiser she organized to cover medical bills. It is not known if she will use this money to cover travel costs as well.

Tessica Brown is also reportedly considering a lawsuit against Gorilla Glue.
