Tickets for the three-year, five-month excursion went on sale Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and sold out by 11 a.m., with prices going up to $ 199,999 per guest. The luxury cruise will call at 66 ports of call in 31 countries and four continents, exploring Central America, the west coast of the United States and Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and elsewhere.

Carnival Corporation CEO Arnold Donald told FOX Business last month that customer demand for cruises exceeded the company’s current supply.
“Honestly, people are jostling to get back on the cruise,” Donald told “The Claman Countdown”. “We have no problem being able to fill the ships.”

“People are ready to sail and they know the long history of the cruise industry,” Donald continued, adding, “In fact, we have a lot more demand than we have for ships available at the moment.”
Montague also bolstered the motivation behind the request in its statement, adding, “For our customers, the 2024 Global Cruise is more than just a cruise vacation – it’s a return to normalcy.”
