After Walmart debacle, Litecoin receives boost from AMC with Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash
AMC CEO Adam Aron took to Twitter to announce that America’s largest cinema chain will start accepting Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash in addition to Bitcoin.
Cryptocurrency Lovers: You Probably Know This @AMCTtheatres announced that we will be accepting Bitcoin for online ticket and concession payments by the end of 2021. I can confirm today that when we do, we also expect us to agree to the same way Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. pic.twitter.com/uKcFyQotoJ

As reported by U.Today, Aron initially revealed his company’s plan to add support for the largest cryptocurrency during a earnings call in early August.
At the time, he also said that AMC would consider other blockchain relationship options, which is why altcoin payments seem like a logical step for the movie chain.
The Leawood-headquartered company made headlines due to volatile movements in its shares in early 2021 after it became the darling of retail traders during the GameStop mania.
AMC shares closed at $ 46.84 on September 15. The stock is up 2,131% year-to-date.
