New York Jets receiver Quincy Enunwa will miss the rest of the season with a neck injury, coach Adam Gase said Wednesday.
Enunwa confided to the Jets after the opening defeat of Sunday's season that he was not feeling well, according to Gase, who said Enunwa was still undergoing tests to determine the extent of the injury.
This is the second time in three years that Enunwa has suffered a neck injury ending his season. He missed the entire 2017 season after being operated on to repair a bulging disc on his neck.
The Jets acquired Tuesday receiver Demaryius Thomas of the New England Patriots.
Gase said Wednesday that he was waiting for Thomas to play Monday night against the Cleveland Browns, assuming that he passes his physique.
Gase would not say if Enunwa's last neck injury threatens his career.
