WWE Blacks Out Screen After Charlotte Flair Taps Fans

WWE received a significant amount of negative comment on social media during a moment that took place during tonight’s RAW Women’s Title game at payout at WWE Money In the Bank, which saw Charlotte Flair win the strap from Rhea Ripley.

As previously reported on this link, Becky Lynch posted a photo ahead of the pay-per-view and confirmed that she was in attendance at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX. This led to more speculation about Lynch’s possible return, but likely meant she wasn’t coming back tonight.

Fans sang for Lynch on several occasions during the Flair vs. Ripley match. Flair replied with a “we want Becky!” sing along with a middle finger salute to the Texan crowd.

The WWE production tried to blacken the screen to block Flair’s middle finger from the crowd, but he was still visible on the Peacock / WWE Network live stream. The attempted change led to many fans hitting the company on Twitter.

You can see photos and videos of Flair’s big win at this link. Here are some pictures of the middle finger salute:
