I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Big E appears in an episode of Friday night SmackDown, as he did on this week’s Knoxville show. He’s fighting for the blue mark, after all.
Or at least he did.
Really, this is capital because of the uncertainty surrounding his status. I say uncertainty because Big E isn’t just Big E anymore, he’s WWE Champion Big E. It’s so good to say that, and so I say it as often as I can because, again, Big E is WWE Champion.
Either way, he interrupted universal champion Roman Reigns early in Smack down this week:
He was interrupted by Finn Balor before he could get anything out of it, and during a commercial break, a tag team match was booked between E & Balor and The Usos.
The fact that Big E was purposefully made to face Reigns may suggest that WWE may be planning another big show to come in a few months, Survivor Series, but we’ll have to wait and see it all.
Meanwhile, Balor and E defeated the tag team champions of SmackDown, with E pinning Jimmy after a Big Ending while Balor simultaneously struck the Coup de Grace on Jey.
