WWE Extreme Rules 2019: Results, recapitulation, standings and big surprise

[ad_1]

Before the fall.

WWE

Extreme Rules 2019 was a surprisingly good show. After the prestigious events of AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling on Saturday (wrestling fans: sign up for New Japan World for G1, trust me), WWE closed the weekend with Extreme Rules, an account Philadelphia-based pay-per-view that was broadcast on the WWE network. The WWE is currently suffering from bad odds and two or three mediocre series, but this one was between good and excellent.

There were disappointments. Samoa Joe versus Kofi Kingston and AJ Styles against Ricochet should have been both better, especially the last. But these defects have been eliminated elsewhere. The mixed main event was much better than previous Baron Corbin and Seth Rollins. And we had a cash from Brock Lesnar, which is either excellent or terrible depending on your feelings about The Beast. (I am very pro-Beast, for the record.)

Perhaps more importantly, there was really nothing wrong on the show.

Perhaps the best match of the evening was on the map: Aleister Black vs Cesaro. If you are a WWE subscriber and do not have the time to watch the whole show, this one is worth the detour. As stated, the main event was also a pleasant surprise.

Below you will find complete results, recaps and game evaluations for the night, from the end to the beginning.

Brock Lesnar cashes

WWE

After the main event, the music of Brock Lesnar hit. He has twice the German Suplexes Rollins, then officially cash. An F5 and Brock win the World Championship for the third time.

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans had the name "Seth" embroidered on the top of her tights, which gave rise to some uncomfortably free buttocks. The reward was this match that started with Becky Lynch who literally hit Evans's ass.

Corbin and Rollins fight and Evans ends up with a Kendo Stick. Rollins catches the stick and Evans draws him as a seducer. But then, Becky cuts that by hitting Lacey in the back with a Kendo Stick. The two opponents then commit a tandem attack, hitting their respective opponents with Kendo sticks and a sliding-suicide-dropkick diving combo. Corbin and Rollins end up in the ring. Rollins will do a dive, but Corbin counteracts with a chair shot.

The crowd comes in with a loud dueling singing – except that this is not for the wrestlers. One side sings "We want Lesnar" (to cash out his Money in the Bank contract), and the other side sings "No, we do not do it!"

Corbin and Rollins work around two chairs in the middle of the ring, while Becky takes Evans outside. Now, Lynch hits an exploder seat on two chairs. She puts a chair on Evans and makes a rope leg fall. Corbin comes to protect Evans, but Rollins gives him a chair and Lynch kicks him in the face. The distraction allows Evans to take control. She hits a magnificent springboard, moonsault, for a total of two.

Evans tries a women's right knockout, but Becky counteracts an attempt at disarmament. Evans counts for a roll-up and Lynch with Rollins. Lynch and Rollins set up two tables one next to each other outside the ring. It takes them some time, however, for Evans and Corbin to regain control. Corbin and Evans hit Rollins with a barrage of Kendo Stick strikes. Lynch arrives and Rollins and she are hit by stereo chokeslams.

Both continue to double the Rollins team, sending him out of the ring. They try to overtake him through a table, but Lynch interrupts and overthrows the suplex. Becky and Rollins then placed Evans and Corbin on both tables, and the two hit the splatters of the top rope to hit both tables. Cool place.

Rollins goes for the Curbstomp, but Corbin counts with a Deep Six. He pins Seth, but Lynch divides the account. Lynch sends Evans out of the ring and Corbin hits her with an End of Days. WWE never really does violence between men, so it got the better of the crowd. So is Seth Rollins, who, visibly furious, demolished Corbin with a Kendo staff, a chair, and three Curbstomps. Excellent finish.

Rating: 4 stars. I thought this match would be dull, given the previous fights of Seth and Baron, but it was actually filled with creative spots and a great action. The finish was also fantastic and gave Seth an invincible air. It's funny how it worked, though …

Kofi Kingston retains WWE title

Butter your pancakes, its WWE championship time.

The two exchanges took place, Joe performing a sweeping of the legs. He slaps Kofi in the back and Kofi comes back with a slap on his chest. It looks like these two will work closely. A ram from Joe proves it.

Kofi v. Joe

WWE

The story of SmackDown a few weeks ago was that Kofi would not shake Joe's hand. That plays in this match, as Joe folds Kofi's fingers and then places his hand between the ring steps and climbs on it. Back in the ring, Joe slaps Kofi and Kofi gives him the finger. He defends himself, hitting a cross from the top of the rope. Joe regains control with a bad Powerslam.

Kofi gets an SOS DDT before attempting the Trouble in Paradise kick, but Joe tries a clutch attempt with Coquina Clutch. He slams Kofi and then makes a rear faction. Kofi kicks Joe in the face, Joe puts his foot on the ropes and Kofi has a problem in paradise.

Rating: 3 stars. While this match was going well, it was over. Good, but another disappointment.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens

Ziggler slaps Owens. Ziggler eats a stunning. 1-2-3.

Owens catches the microphone and makes an explosive promo on Shane McMahon. He puts The Undertaker in check in front of McMahon and says that Shane can kiss his ass and go straight to hell. We feel you, Kev.

AJ Styles vs Ricochet

Paul Heyman introduces himself and says that Brock Lesnar is here and will cash in WWE or Universal Champion. But, he asked, does he tell the truth or is it Paul Heyman? Paul E. Dangerous's deep thoughts here. The next US championship game could / should be the best of the night.

The club.

WWE

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, entered with AJ Styles, attack Ricochet before the start of the match. The bell rings and Cole reminds us that it is a contested game according to the normal rules. Nothing extreme here, fans.

The advantage of the styles is immediately neutralized, the advantage being obtained quickly by Ricochet. Rolling flip into dropkick, shooting star rocking from apron to the outside. No fists, just go back. A distraction from Gallows allows AJ to regain the upper hand. After a little heat, Ricochet takes control with a backflip-enziguri combo. He has a big knee in AJ's face, then fate Gallows and Anderson with a springboard moonsault.

The style goes in the direction of inverted DDT, but Ricochet comes down to a powerslam Northern Lights Suplex combo. Styles against a springboard move in a Ushigoroshi. Styles inherit Ricochet with a nice transition between DDT and slam. Apart from a brief dueling song, the crowd was silent for this one.

Styles goes for a phenomenal forearm but Ricochet dodges, but Styles manages to plant Ricochet face-to-face. He opted for a Clash Styles, but Ricochet resisted in a Hurricanrana pin attempt for a count of two. The two exchanges are triggered and the crowd wakes up with a great dueling song.

The two markers with the same motions: Ricochet kicks a Pele kick, Styles hits a kick from Pele. Richochet hits a brainbuster, Styles hits a brainbuster. After a few trips back and forth, Ricochet manages a shooting star press. He counts twice when AJ puts his foot under the rope. Anderson tried to mingle it but Ricochet caught him with a kick, but Gallows put him aside and AJ was an avalanche victim, Clash Styles, to win the American title.

Rating: 3.5 stars. So many incredible sequences, and everything was smooth and well adjusted. But much was hurt by the crowd which, apart from two dueling songs, was flat. Hard to see this one other than as a disappointment.

The New Day Wins SmackDown Team Championships

Daniel Bryan and Rowan compete against Big E, Xavier Woods and Heavy Machinery. Lotta men in this match here. Two wrestlers at a time, which means that the third team needs a wrestler from another team to accompany them in the game. D & # 39; AGREEMENT.

The match begins with Bryan and Woods coming and going, ending with a solid strike from the forearm. Tucker, of Heavy Machinery, succeeds in identifying, sending Bryan to the outside. Tucker and Woods come and go before Rowan identifies, sending Tucker.

Rowan identifies Bryan, who submits Woods to a bid. The referee tells him to break the plug, but Bryan yells that this is not a DQ. Daniel Bryan is one of us. But he associates Rowan on his return. Woods is offusque and finds himself at Otis while Rowan identifies with Bryan. Otis is unleashed on Bryan. Oh yes! He then makes the worm, as in the breakdance movement, in a fall of the elbow. Fantastic.

Tucker identifies, while Big E identifies Bryan. Big E, who has besides the best game on Twitter of all WWE players, hits Tucker on a super belly, but Otis self-identifies. They succeed in a tandem movement body / body crossed. Rowan arrives, slaps Tucker and kicks Otis. Rowan and Bryan identify Woods on the outside. Rowan returns to the ring, but is sent by Big E. Big E then throws Bryan through the ropes.

Then, with four men on the outside, Otis embarks on a suicide dive – but stops at the last minute, crosses the ropes and crosses the bodies on the control teams. Tucker then does the same thing, but from the top rope.

They send Big E and start their Tandem Compactor move, but Woods breaks the attempt. He is quickly sent by Heavy Machinery and Rowan arrives to face Otis and Tucker, but is hit by a barrage. It ends with a double attack on Big E's power between Otis and Tucker of the top rope, then a superplex on Rowan. Bryan, however, has a sneaky tag and locks the LaBelle lock on Big E. Big E's grabbing the rope, but Bryan takes his arm and puts it in one arm. Big E will put his foot on the rope, but Bryan catches him to hold his leg. Great place, but Big E makes the ropes.

Bryan hits Yes Kicks on Big E, but Big E stands up and comes back with a clothesline. He and Woods spent midnight in Bryan counting the three. Bryan lost two titles this year against The New Day.

Rating: 3.5 stars. Big action, Heavy Machinery shone and … Daniel Bryan, a huge star who was confusedly booked as a mid-day card, got stuck. I can not have everything.

Six times champions!

WWE

Braun Strowman defeats Bobby Lashley

These two big guys start fighting immediately, even before the bell rings. Strowman beats Lashley, who retires outside the ring. Strowman follows him however for his patent ram. Strowman runs around the ring to create momentum for another ram, but Lashley cons with a big spear.

Between that and Lashley's suicide spear at Finn Balor in WrestleManiawe have to launch an official spear competition between Lashley and Reigns.

Lashley gets the "steel" steps and drives them into Strowman. Lashley hits him again with the steps and Strowman collapses in the crowd. Lashley follows him and gives him a chair in the back. Both fall in the merchandise stands of the arena. They fight and Strowman ends up placing Lashley in a merch booth. The commentators are playing on Strowman's condition after his spleen injury by Apocrypha on Raw a few weeks ago.

These guys are coming back in the crowd. Strowman uses your old ram, but a few moments later, Lashley leads Strowman through the barricade. Lashley is a monster.

Lashley makes a Strowman-esque ram to Strowman by the German announcement table, then crushes the table on Strowman for a count of 9. Strowman falls into the crowd and Lashley follows him by jumping over the barricade. Strowman catches him and throws him into the zone of international advertisers. Bad time for non English speaking ad teams right now. They are still fighting and getting a light "that's awesome" singing.

They go up the stairs and Lashley actually throws a "fan" into Strowman (definitely a plant). Strowman hits him and hits Lashley with a chair. Strowman knocks a powerslam from a ledge through … a weird … box … thing? Braun Strowman is the last man standing.

Rating: 3 stars. Some nice places, but a lot of average fight and a disappointing finish. The crowd loved, however.

Your winner

WWE

Bayley beats Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

If Cross and Bliss win, they become team co-champions of SmackDown. The story here is that Bliss just uses Cross, but Cross, an adorable idiot, is the only one not to realize it.

Cross starts with Bayley, but Bliss is quickly identified. Bliss then connects to Cross, who has some exchanges with Bayley. The two are fighting outside the ring, but while Bayley stands on the apron to get in, she is jostled by Bliss and knocks her head in the ring's staircase. Bliss and Cross work on Bayley.

Cross catches Bayley in the apron and Bliss hits her with a slippery kick. Bayley, still stuck, receives a big slap of Bliss. Another big slap of Bliss in the corner. Bliss catches Bayley in a tree of doom and strikes her with forearms. Back in the middle of the ring, she drops a few drops of knees on Bayley. They trade their strikes and Bliss hits Bayley with a kick. Many leg slaps here. Bayley knocks a clothesline on Bliss and a suicide dive on Cross to begin his return.

Marked himself, but Bayley takes the advantage and the body hits Cross on Bliss. Bayley gets a leglock on Cross and a crossface on Bliss at the same time for a creative spot. Cross eventually regains the advantage after being distracted by Bliss and hits a Tornado DDT. Bliss gets caught and throws herself into a Twisted Bliss but Bayley lifts her knees. Cross-marks in and also jumps from the top rope but gets a knee blow to Bayley's chin. Bayley takes a nudge to beat Cross and Bliss clean.

Rating: 3.25 stars. Everyone worked hard here and there were no sloppy stains or boring stretches. Bayley beat Cross and Bliss Clean is a huge headache, as he kills suspected infamous babyface tricks from both Cross.

Aleister Black beats Cesaro

This is the striking man of Amsterdam against the Swiss Superman. It could be a good match.

Black immediately kicked Black Mass, but Cesaro is a duck. Black hits him with a kick in the corner and Cesaro against with a well-adjusted European Uppercut. (In Europe, do we just call it a Uppercut? ") Cesaro mocks Black with Black's own sneer, but Black charges him with a burst of blows and a springboard, and Loon Aleister Black is super good.

screen capture-2019-07-15-at-10-06-12-am

The striking man from Amsterdam.

WWE

The black dominates Cesaro and hits a whim that, again, was like a shot. These guys love a good slap in the legs and I totally agree Cesaro defends himself and performs a spectacular European Uppercut springboard. Cesaro too is super good.

The two come and go, and Cesaro puts Black in a hold. Black fights and hits another springboard, Moonsault. Black tries a double-knee, but Cesaro catches him, throws him and hits an uppercut. Amazing place.

Black hits several kicks on Cesaro, and Cesaro tries another springboard, but uppercut, but Black against with a knee shot in the air. Cesaro starts selling his left leg, after Black has hit him throughout the match. Black dismisses the leg, but Cesaro counts him as an elite sniper and turns into a crossover. Black replies to an attempt to fall for two shots, then hits a knee in Cesaro's face. The crowd is singing that is awesome. Of course, Philly.

Black hits a few punches on Cesaro, but Cesaro thwarts with a flurry of punches of his own. Great intensity. Cesaro opts for a neutralizer, but Black against and hits a Black Mass for the win.

Rating: 4 stars. These two are fighting each other for one another. The crowd was in because the action was exceptional, but the match was hurt by the public who did not really invest in either of the two characters. Yet, an absolutely fantastic fight.

The Revival Retains WWE Raw Tag Team Titles

After a bad comedy promo with Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins, The Revival is ready to defend its team team championships. Usos made a double promise of entry to welcome us to Uso Penitentiary. Usos are great.

After a back-and-forth action, with inbound and outbound tags for both teams, the Usos eventually dive over the rope on The Revival. The double team of Revival, Jey Uso, on the outside, and The Revival apply to work on it. No flips of them until now. Just fists. (And slap.)

Dash Wilder identifies Dawson, who cuts Jey from Jimmy Uso. Jey ends up doing the tag, but The Revival distracts the referee, who missed it and does not let Jimmy enter. The Revival hit a drop combo on Jey's back and elbow.

After countering a superplex, Jey identifies Jimmy as an active tag. Dual Samoan Drops on Wilder and Dawson. Wilder cuts it, however, and hits a sitting Powerbomb. Wilder is in Dawson and the two are trying to overtake the Jimmy team, but Jimmy hits a lunar corkscrew on both. Usos hit Samoan Drop on Dawson for a tally in half.

After some action, Dawson hits a superplex on Jey Uso and Dash follows with a dip in the top of the rope, but Jimmy breaks the fall with an accident too. Great place. Jey Uso hits a superkick on Dawson that looks like a shot and follows with one on Dash. Jey strikes the ropes for a plancha, but Dawson drags her by the leg and The Revival hits a Shatter Machine on behalf of 3.

Rating: 3.5 stars. A terrifying fight, but restrained by a crowd that was only half there.

WWE

Undertaker and Roman Reigns defeat Drey McIntyre and Shane McMahon

The main show begins with one of the biggest games on the map, with a rare appearance of The Undertaker.

Shane is the first and asks the advertiser to present him as "the best in the world". Did you know that Chris Jericho invented this? McIntyre, who looks to be solid stone, follows. Reigns gets a decent reaction, followed by great pop for The Undertaker.

screen-shot-2019-07-15-at-9-15-12-am

Undertaker gets a big reaction from the crowd.

WWE

Reigns and McIntyre begin. Michael Cole explains that it's an untouchable match, which means that no disqualification is necessary, but wrestlers still need to maintain . D & # 39; AGREEMENT. McIntyre identifies Shane, the crowd hue. Reign, after some exchanges, tags in Undertaker. The crowd applauds. After a few punches in the corner, Undertaker turns to Old School and tells the crowd that he's still there. We'll see, Philadelphia, we'll see.

After a few actions, Reigns finds himself in the ring under Shane's punches. McIntyre installs and puts Reigns in a grip. Reigns returns with a Samoan Drop, and Undertaker gets the shortcut. He hits Snake Eyes and a big boot on Shane and clears Shane and McIntyre's ring.

Undertaker dismounts the announcer's table and prepares Shane for a final round. Elias comes from nowhere and breaks his guitar in the back of Undertaker. Reigns the fight, but eats a McIntyre Claymore Kick. McIntyre then hits another Claymore on Undertaker. McIntyre looks like a killer.

Elias and McIntyre put Undertaker on the announcer's table and Shane hit the flying elbow across the table. Elias and McIntyre bring Undertaker into the ring and place him in a corner. Shane hits a dropkick side by side. The biggest hits of Shane, here.

Reigns hits Elias with a Superman Punch, but McIntyre takes him with a Russian leg sweep. In the ring, Undertaker sits in front of a petrified Shane and knocks a Chokeslam on him. McIntyre appears behind Undertaker, but Reigns hits McIntyre from a spear. Undertaker Tombstones Shane and gets the 1-2-3.

Reigns gives the ring to Undertaker, and Cole tells us to inspire him because we do not know how many times we will have to experience The Undertaker.

Rating: 3.5 stars. Undertaker clearly wanted to prove, after the disastrous match between Saudi Arabia and Goldberg, that he always had something to gain. He did well here, nothing botched and never seemed so slow. The match was also helped by a hot crowd.
