A recently released WWE Legend made his return to Impact Wrestling at the Slammiversary 2021 pay-per-view event! The Slammiversary event is always a huge draw for Impact Wrestling fans, as the previous years have seen a number of huge debuts of previously signed artists with other promotions like WWE, and this year has not. been different as the event has already seen a number of notable recent WWE outings make their presence known with Impact Wrestling. Now, they’ve added a WWE Legend (according to Raw Legends Night) and a former Impact Wrestling star with Mickie James.

After the Impact Knockouts Championship match between Deonna Purazzo and new addition Thunder Rosa (which Purazzo won), Mickie James made a surprise appearance and tried to recruit her for the women’s event for NWA, NWA EmPowerrr and Purazzo declined. . With references to the infamous “trash bag” from James’ exit from WWE, James slapped Purazzo and officially marked his return to Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary 2021. Check it out:

James was just one of the familiar faces of WWE who made it to Impact Wrestling for Slammiversary after Chelsea Green and No Way Jose returned earlier in the evening, and an upcoming Aiden English tease in a future event for promotion. These names were all part of the roster cuts that had been made by WWE in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years, and are now seeking a fresh start with Impact Wrestling.
