WWE makes sure you know the new names of XFL teams

From the first reports, Vince McMahon would reactivate his XFL football league, the WWE said, claiming that it would be separate from the publicly traded sports entertainment company. McMahon "personally funded a separate entity from WWE, Alpha Entertainment, to explore investment opportunities in the areas of sports and entertainment, including professional football," they said in December 2017.

At the press conference announcing the launch of XFL 2.0 a month later, McMahon told the press that there would be "no possible crossover" with WWE.

Fans, journalists, and industry watchers quickly noticed that many marketing materials resembled those of WWE. Sources indicated that the company's employees and resources were used for XFL-related activities. The company's complaint to the SEC in May 2018 revealed that WWE was in fact a minority owner in the league. That's why, when they announced their agreement to release the XFL games when they were launched in February of next year, Fox and ESPN executives specifically mentioned WWE's participation in the sale.

All this to say that nothing about the revelation of the names and logos of eight XFL 2.0 teams was surprising. From logo designs similar to video packages, to superb scripts for storytelling, and WWE promotion on their YouTube channel …
