WWE Raw Results, Recap, Reactions (September 16, 2019): Forgiveness

[ad_1]

Bray Wyatt again stole the show. What a shock.

Rollins was ready to start where he had summarized the PPV as a good baby face. And when he arrived at Wyatt's interference during the Clash of Champions, Wyatt appeared, smiling innocently inside the Firefly Fun House.

And what Wyatt said was really intriguing to me. He seemed to give us a motive to pursue Rollins. In the past, Rollins did horrible things. He betrayed the shield, turned his back on the crowd, followed the orders of Triple H … and yet Rollins was forgiven for his actions. He was able to repent, essentially, and obtain people's forgiveness.

Wyatt, on the other hand? He is in this place that looks like a purgatory, suffering from the voice in his head and everything the devil does to him.

And think back to the first episode of Fun House. Wyatt is immediately excused for his past deeds … and yet, there is no forgiveness for him, is not it? There is no peace. That's why Wyatt can not let Rollins go unpunished. Misery loves company, after all.

The use of Pedigree by Rollins was actually a very good prefiguration. It reminded us of his past and he is about to pay for those sins.

Fast forward to the end of the show and that's exactly what happened. A bunch of heels leagued against Rollins until Kane came out to rescue him. You know, the Kane who helped Rollins when he was the puppet of the Authority.

And that's exactly when the demon hit. Wyatt slammed Kane with ease before crawling towards Rollins, who was shaking in the corner of the ring. Rollins had his eyes closed while Wyatt laughed to end the show.

Wyatt can literally do nothing wrong. It's amazing.

King Corbin

Ah, man. What to say?

Baron Corbin impressed me throughout the King of the Ring final. He was excellent in his role and really helped Chad Gable get the encouragement he deserved to the end. This match was the highlight of the evening in terms of the actual fight. They had time to work a longer match, cold lighting for the introduction of the match and all that. They deserved it too.

That said, I'm not necessarily angry that Corbin won. I am just resigned to the fact that I will probably hate what is coming.

Corbin has always been an arrogant character, who challenges the little guys to go wherever he wants … except that he's always been short in the past. He was so unbearable as a near end gendarme that the McMahon threw him under the bus in this segment "Hey, we'll be better" so long ago.

And look at it now. Nothing has changed. It's the same guy who has the same disposition, except he has a shiny crown to support his bullshit.

I'm glad he won at a certain level. Corbin was a very good talent for the WWE and he played an important role when they needed him in the past. He deserved a reward for his service to society.

But if he takes the path I suppose, he'll do it … I'm going to hate him.

"A beta cuck …"

OK WWE. Let's talk here.

Do you have your anti-bullying campaign, right? This campaign is designed to help children learn to get along with each other. Your programming is also for children, which means that you have a responsibility to have some value.

Which brings me to this shit Kanellis. What will they even look for?

Maria organized a party where she announced that her baby would be a boy. She also said that the child was actually Ricochet, which made the poor boy stammer and deny him in vain. Mike slapped him and challenged him in a match won by Richochet.

Ricochet's part in this project did not bother me at all. He was charming and clumsy and was trying to be the cool head of it all. The problems were Titus O'Neil and the Street Profits cheering him on and making stupid jokes at Maria's expense.

It's just disgusting, man. If you talk about women like that, stop. Please. And then, Rusev was revealed that the father and Mike turned around for the guy who was trying to get out of a fight. And then Graves abandoned the "cuck" line, which is as tidy as possible.

Do you know why I do not tell people in my daily life that I watch the fight, WWE? This. I'm embarrassed to have to see that shit again.

The rest

Sasha Banks and Bayley def. Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss – It's interesting to see how they booked this game. I guess the WWE did not want the heels to win the champions by balls properly, so Bayley showed his bad side by breaking Bliss's leg; she was taken to the back to make a handicap match.

The story here is that while Banks was preparing to crush Cross with a chair after the match, Becky Lynch came with her own chair to make the save. Soon, all four riders came out with chairs. Consider this line of battle drawn.

The OC def. Cedric Alexander, Viking thieves – It was a fun opening match, but it quickly becomes a trend, is not it? Alexander is the act of opening. This seems to indicate that WWE trusts him to open concerts on a positive note.

I just wish it was converted into a few wins.

Rey Mysterio def. Cesaro – Another redemption match from Rey Mysterio. I love who they choose for these fights and I appreciate the fact that it's a simple story that we can expect every week. We know we will have a fun and moderate mysterious match on Monday. It's solid.

Braun Strowman sends the teams rushing – He is bitter at the thought of losing a World Championship game again and takes it to The Revival, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. It was just sort of what it was.

Kane wins, loses the championship 24/7 – I did not like that mainly because I live in Memphis and hate the University of Tennessee. Get Neyland Stadium and this bright orange from my TV.

I'm kidding, of course. It was good for what it was.

Lacey Evans def. Dana Brooke – These two fought a short game just before the main event. Evans won with the Sharpshooter so I guess she and Natalya are arguing.

I think I have to start being a bit harder with my rankings.

This episode was good, for the most part. I'm good on Wyatt, of course, but I have no emotional attachment to Rollins. Banks against Lynch in the cell should rock, but beyond? Everything feels the same.

Grade: C-

Without Wyatt, this note would be lower. Too hard, Cageside?
