WWE has just announced the release of Zelina Vega.
We don’t know why she was released or if this is something she asked for. The news came shortly after Vega tweeted, “I support organizing.”
As previously reported, Vega is one of the WWE stars who has been impacted by the wrestling ban on third party sites like Cameo and Twitch.
Wrestlers were subject to fines, suspensions or could be released if they did not comply with the new conditions set out. Vega’s husband, Aleister Black, currently works for WWE.
In addition to her Twitch account, Vega recently launched a non-nude OnlyFans account at onlyfans.com/meganminx. It wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that WWE’s third-party edict was likely a major factor in Vega’s departure from the company.
We will post more news on this situation when we know more.
UPDATE: PWInsider quotes WWE sources as saying Vega was fired before announcing on Twitter her support for unionization.
I support unionization.
