Roman Reigns delivers message to Kevin Owens and Jey Uso

The show’s first segment saw Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Paul Heyman enter the ring for Reigns to respond to Kevin Owens ‘brutal attack on Uso and Reigns’ subsequent appeal. Reigns took issue with interviewer Kayla Braxton asking if his refusal to confront Owens last week was because he was afraid of Owens, but declined to answer the question. As Reigns continued to challenge the question line, Owens’ music hit. Owens said he would come to Reigns since Reigns didn’t come to him last week. Reigns asked for the microphone but Uso grabbed it and said, “We accept, easy.” Owens stopped him and demanded a response directly from Reigns and suggested a match in TLC – and in a TLC match. Reigns accepted the match but refused to fight Owens on the spot, motioning to Braxton and saying, “There’s a lady in the ring” and called himself a gentleman, to which Owens replied, “You you’re a bitch. “

Kevin Owens and Otis fight. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso by disqualification. Reigns did not walk to the ring with Uso, allowing his cousin to be beaten until Owens was finally shot and apparently eliminated. At that point, Reigns walked into the ring, took the tag and brutalized Otis outside the ring, including attacking Otis with multiple shots from the steps of the ring until Owens return to the fight. Owens was at a two-to-one disadvantage for the remainder of the game, with Reigns becoming increasingly frustrated with Uso as he was unable to sideline Owens. Owens hit Uso with a Samoan fall after asking Reigns to step into the ring. Reigns eventually entered the ring to punch, allowing Uso to hit a superkick. As Uso made his way to the top rope for a splash, Reigns told him to get down and tag him so Reigns could be the one to end the show. Instead, Owens hit Uso with a stun and nearly got the spit before Reigns rushed in and locked Owens into a guillotine choke for disqualification. After the match, Uso and Reigns hit Owens with a series of chair kicks before Uso placed a chair on Owens’ chest before hitting him with a splash. Reigns then turned and punched Uso with the chair several times, yelling at him for his constant mistakes.

Reigns made his point after the attack, telling Owens he would take his manhood, his livelihood, and whatever his family had from TLC. It was another great character moment for Reigns, not only to convey a message to his new rival, but also to handle things with Uso. Owens also has the perfect character for this story. He is quite capable of shooting at a level that matches Reigns’ intensity and has been demonstrated in consecutive weeks. The TLC match between these men will most likely be incredibly good.
