This week’s WWE Friday Night episode SmackDown kicked off with a behind-the-scenes segment with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. Reigns had the contract in hand for his match with Adam Pearce at the Royal Rumble, but Heyman said he would make changes to the contract as it was the same WWE Lawyers’ cookie-cutter contract.
After the behind-the-scenes segment, Jey Uso declared that he would win the Royal Rumble and then he would eliminate whoever is the WWE Champion on the Raw brand. This led to a confrontation between Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura, who is apparently now a babyface. They applauded Nakamura to confirm that he is now a babyface.
This segment led to a match between Nakamura and Uso. For what it’s worth, Daniel Bryan has pushed WWE to do more with Nakamura, so this could be the start of a singles push for him.
