WWE’s top star turns heel, title match scheduled for SummerSlam

There was a heel turn at the end of WWE Friday Night SmackDown that will set up a match for SummerSlam.

As previously reported, Sasha Banks made her return to WWE TV during a segment that saw SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair being attacked by Carmella and Zelina Vega. Banks saved Belair and it led to the tag team match for the end of the show.

Banks won the match for his team by forcing Carmella to submit. During the celebration, Banks hit Belair with the backstabber and she continued to attack him while poking fun at her with the SmackDown Women’s Championship. So it looks like Banks vs. Belair for SummerSlam. The show ended with Banks celebrating with the title after putting Belair in the Banks statement.
