Also what remains of Edith Finch

Xbox Game Pass! You are the gift that keeps on giving.

Much of my vacation has been fueled by Game Pass flipping, and this month a few intriguing additions are coming.

More particularly on January 7 Injustice 2 is added to the service on all platforms (mobile, console, PC). You, too, can smash action figures together and experience the vast world of NetherRealm’s weird and sometimes thrilling DC Universe intrigue – it’s somehow more cohesive than the DC Extended Universe cinema.

January 14 Flashlight III (hey, that’s it, just came out!) and What remains of Edith Finch are the biggest. Honestly, despite all the shortcomings of the first in the lead, it’s a pretty dynamic duo. Edith Finch is one of those wait and see art games for a lot of people, so it will be good to finally see a lot of people experience it for the first time. Flashlight III was a “wait and see” game for its own reasons.

Again, Game Pass! It’s kind of the best way to play some of these games. Below is a full rundown of Xbox Game Pass January offers.

Week of January 4:

  • EFootball PES 2021 Season Update, January 7 (Android and console)
  • Injustice 2, January 7 (Android, console and PC)
  • The little acre, January 7 (Android and console)

Week of January 11:

  • Neoverse, January 14 (PC)
  • Flashlight III, January 14 (Android and console)
  • What remains of Edith Finch, January 14 (PC)
  • YIIK: a postmodern RPG, January 14 (PC)
