Xbox Live suffers a major outage

The Xbox Live online platform for console gamers suffered a major outage on Thursday, with gamers around the world on Twitter to report connection problems.

“We are aware that users may not be able to sign in to Xbox Live at this time,” the company’s support account says. tweeted Thursday afternoon. “Our teams are currently studying to resolve this problem.”

The outage appears to have started shortly after noon PT on Thursday. This isn’t the first Xbox crash in recent memory – the platform saw a tough patch in 2020, with several breakdowns as players flocked to the platform to pandemicin-car entertainment.

“We’ll update here and at http://xbox.com/status when we have more information to share,” the company added on Twitter.
