The next Xbox Series X restock in the US will be easier to buy if you follow our 24/7 Xbox replenishes Twitter tracker Matt Swider, which will send you alerts when the console is in stock – if you follow his Twitter account and activate notifications. Matt has observed the stock of the Xbox Series X at stores like Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart and has noticed that the console stays in stock much longer than it was in the first half of 2021, particularly by compared to the still elusive restocking of the PS5. You just have to know where to look, and this week looks promising for his alerts.
► When is the Xbox restocking? Follow our Xbox Series X Matt Swider replenishment Twitter tracker and turn on notifications for live replenishment news. This is the fastest way to get Xbox restocking updates.
► Don’t buy from other Twitter users – which are all scams. Only buy from stores in the United States that Matt warns you about. No one will legitimately sell the Xbox Series X for just $ 550.
Click that last major Xbox Series X restock date, when Best Buy had the $ 499 Xbox on sale at MSRP.
Xbox Series X restocking news: it just got a lot easier
- July 1: Walmart had it in stock for several minutes (it’s always a Thursday)
- June 24-29: Best Buy had the Xbox Series X in stock for several minutes
- Costco had a pack with an expensive SSD in stock for an entire weekend
Xbox Series X restock news has been slow lately, with the latest massive restock date at Walmart July 1. But what we did notice was that the console was much easier to buy than the weeks and months before. It’s a good sign.
The same happened on June 24 and 29 when there was a Best buy Xbox Series X restocked. The console sat there for several minutes without selling, and it was selling at MSRP. same GameStop was ready to sell the new Xbox in stores without forcing a bundle in a one-time opportunity in June.
Finally, there’s usually a Costco bundle that comes with MLB The Show and an SDD that’s a bit pricey, but it was available for purchase for an entire weekend. This is a much better option than going to a reseller, who will charge you the same price for the console only.
So while we haven’t seen the new Xbox in stock at retail in recent days (other than a BJ Wholesale restock), there is a lot of promise in the next two weeks, as GameStop, Best Buy, and Walmart are all expected to carry the Microsoft console.
Here are some options for purchasing the Xbox Series X.
Xbox Series X Target Replenishment: Daily Online Locally
- Target Xbox replenishment is live locally now every morning
- Only a handful of stores get a few consoles and go on sale as they arrive
- This is very different from domestic Xbox Series X restockings before.
Every morning Target has the Xbox Series X in stock at random stores for purchase online (no, you cannot purchase the Xbox in stores in the United States at this time). The problem is, it’s difficult to issue Twitter alerts when it’s usually selected stores in a city and there are only five consoles as part of the Xbox restock.
Target has gone from a nationwide restock date to a local Xbox Series X deal (again to buy online only in stores) and Xbox consoles are for sale as they arrive each morning. .
Xbox Series X “Pilot Program”
- Microsoft has diverted stock of Xbox consoles to its Xbox Insiders program
- Beta testers (new dashboards and more) get access with console purchase
- This requires turning on your Xbox One console
The Microsoft store has not had a major replenishment in the United States for some time. Instead, the company has diverted some of its inventory so that Xbox Insiders can now purchase the Xbox Series X through their existing Xbox One console if they are in the beta program.
This is a great incentive for people who want to test out dashboard tweaks and other updates that Microsft is rolling out ahead of time and be able to upgrade from Xbox One to Xbox Series X. Note: you will need to power on your Xbox One. to sign in to the Xbox Insiders program – you can’t buy a second console from an Xbox Series X, for example.
Xbox All Access is often silent replenishment
- Walmart and GameStop had the Xbox Series X in stock through All Access for weeks and no one noticed
- Pay-as-you-go program hooks you into a 24-month contract
Stores like Walmart and GameStop often restock the Xbox Series X through the Xbox All Access plan, which works much like a smartphone plan. You pay for the console over time, but you’re also signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which is actually something you should consider purchasing with an Xbox anyway).
After 24 months, you save a few dollars with this Xbox Series X plan, but you are forced to pay for it for two years.
We will continue to offer Xbox Series X restocking updates as stores like Best Buy, Walmart, and GameStop are late in making the Microsoft console available for purchase. After all, they have to compete with these Nintendo OLED pre-orders.
