The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S launched today, November 10, and unless you were quick enough to land a pre-order when they first went live on September 22, you might be looking for- Finally be securing your Xbox Series X / S order on launch day. . While some stores have already restocked and sold out quickly today, at least one store, Walmart, still has a restocking slated for later today.
Although Sony has officially confirmed that PS5 orders will only be live on release day due to COVID-19 security precautions, Microsoft has not confirmed the same for the Xbox Series X / S. Although most of retailers still stick to online orders for the Xbox Series X only, GameStop has confirmed in-store availability in the coming weeks.
Which retailers will have Xbox Series X / S on launch day?
Several stores, including Newegg, GameStop, Target, and the Microsoft Store, restocked at midnight and have since sold out again. It’s unclear if these retailers will have more Xbox Series X inventory later today. GameStop’s website says, “Currently out of stock, check back later,” although we did see one of its Xbox bundles re-available (and sell out) around 10am ET. We’re likely to see mini replenishments at these retailers throughout the day, but unless you’re constantly refreshing the listings, you’ll likely miss them.
It’s not all bad news, however. A retailer, Walmart, has confirmed exactly when you can order the Xbox Series X and S online today. Both consoles will be restocked on Walmart.com at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET, so you will only have one chance to secure your Xbox order at Walmart. Meanwhile, the retailer has four different time slots for PS5 orders on Thursday, so it’s unfortunate that hopeful Xbox buyers don’t have the same opportunity.
In addition to its online midnight replenishment, GameStop has a limited number of Xbox Series X / S consoles available in stores today for launch. We suggest you call your local store for availability. If you miss your chance to get the new Xbox on launch day, GameStop will also have a limited supply of Xbox Series X and S consoles in stores on Black Friday, when stores open at 7 a.m.
In Target‘s Black Friday 2020, the retailer has confirmed it will have the Xbox Series X and Series S in stock only online on November 10. Since it’s already restocked once at midnight, it’s unclear if we’ll see the Xbox Series X at Target even later today.
Meanwhile, Best buy announced that it will not have any Xbox Series X or Series S units in physical stores until 2021. The retailer will not confirm online availability for launch day and has kept its plans vague, saying the Xbox Series X / S will be available for purchase on BestBuy.com when units are available.
If you run out of replenishments at major retailers, reseller sites like StockX have a lot of units available, but be prepared to pay more than the list price. Right now, buyers are asking around $ 380 for the S-Series and $ 730 for the X-Series.
No other retailer has shared specific plans for Xbox restocking on launch day.
