  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T will launch worldwide on January 8th.
  • The phone is probably a renowned version of China’s Redmi Note 9 5G.

If we were to explain Xiaomi’s latest rebranding efforts in different markets, we would end up giving you a headache. Instead, let’s just leave it up to the fact that the phone maker will launch a new Redmi smartphone to the world on January 8.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T launches Twitter teaser

Xiaomi has not officially disclosed any information, but Amazon Germany jumped the gun to reveal the phone specifications and pricing, confirming that this is essentially the Redmi Note 9 5G which launched in China in November.

The first listing shows that the Redmi Note 9T will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, a 6.53 inch FHD + punch-hole display, a 48 MP main camera, a 5000 mAh battery with an 18W charge, 4GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of storage.

As for pricing, Amazon listed the base variant of the Redmi Note 9T at € 229.90 (~ $ 282). Meanwhile, its 128GB storage version was listed at € 269.90 (~ $ 330). These lists have since been removed from the website.

Nonetheless, if those prices are correct, the Redmi Note 9T will be one of the most affordable 5G phones in Europe, comparing itself to the Realme 7 5G. Renamed or not, its specs look pretty solid on paper, so it’s bound to be a popular device when it launches.
