Twitch streamer xQc condemned another streamer for posing as a “psychotic idiot” amid ridicule for accusing Rust’s opponents of “sniping.”
xQc has been in the crosshairs since OfflineTV Rust took over Twitch. Rust, a multiplayer survival game released in 2013, had a mini-renaissance around the turn of the year, with some of Twitch’s biggest streamers joining the OfflineTV server to fight.
But bringing so many personalities together under one roof could only spark controversy, and the server has since been inundated with drama. In the center is Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, who has been criticized for accusing opponents of ‘sniping’, with some fans flooding other channels to abuse streamers.
However, a new controversy has arisen. After the “Team Rocket” faction of xQc died in the middle of the sea after a failed landing on a ship, they returned to find that all of their inventory was missing. It turned out that EdisonParks had used outside information to locate the drops, and xQc was not happy.
Rust has been at the center of the Twitch drama since the start of the year.
xQc accuses EdisonPark of ‘stream sniping’
The controversy began when xQc spotted Parks’ location on the Myth stream. He was where the xQc team died, which would have required outside information.
“It’s shameless, man,” xQc said.
Edisonparks explained that he was disconnected from the server and watching Ash_on_lol’s stream, and saw two pieces of information on the frozen xQc team and a helicopter. With this information, he assumed they were dead in the middle of the ocean and followed a convoy path until he found the bodies.

Park apologized for abusing information to which he should not have had access, and offered to return the items. He said: “I didn’t realize it at the time, but the reason Myth commented on their helicopter was because he watched a clip of them crashing their helicopter.
“Without it, I wouldn’t have known that a helicopter was even involved. Looking back, because I acted on the basis of information that I technically shouldn’t have had access to, I think it’s fair that I return what I found on the bodies.
However, xQc was not happy. He said, “I make mistakes and most of the time I admit my own mistakes even if it hurts. Somehow you do some really filthy shit and play the denial card every time and make me look like the psychotic idiot.

Shroud criticizes the ‘juicy’ xQc
xQc has taken a fair amount of the stick from other streamers over the past few days for accusing opponents of “sniping”. Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek said xQc was playing a “dangerous game” with these accusations.
“XQc should really keep these things to himself,” he said. “Calling people into stream sniping isn’t cool, unless you know for sure they’re doing it. He’s playing a dangerous game.
The Canadian was also forced to apologize after some of his fans sent death threats to other streamers when xQc complained about them on air.
Shroud defended xQc as a “respectful” person, but condemned some of his live antics.
“I’ve played with him a few times, both streaming and non-streaming, and he’s always super respectful,” he said.
“But I would like him to be a little more respectful of others. I know it’s for the content, but sometimes it can be a bit mean. He’s too excited when he’s live.
With all the drama caused by PvP taking over the current server, OfflineTV announced the release of a new RPG focused server with a smaller number of banners allowed.
Whether xQc will be one of these streamers is open, but it seems unlikely. It doesn’t drop until January 7, so you can expect the antics on the current server to continue for a while.
