XSEED Games is currently under fire from critics for failing to credit former staff members. All this is linked to his policy of only recognize its current staff members.
According to Eurogamer, the American company specializing in the translation of Japanese games has been attacked on social media after former location producer Brittany Avery revealed on Twitter, how his name was removed from the credits of the title PlayStation 4 Legends of heroes: trails Cold steel and most likely the rest too.
XSEED felt compelled to make its own statement via Twitterexplaining how he appreciated the hard work of all who had contributed, but the company's policy was to: only credit the current staff members. The tweet further explained that the company had never credited staff members for individual roles or when an employee had left before the release of a game.
Unsurprisingly, this response provoked strong reactions: many responses to this message asked the company to immediately change its policy and update the updated credits to thank all staff members (current and past) who had worked on these games projects. It has also revived the debate on organizing for video game developers.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that this kind of incident occurs in the industry before and it will probably not be the last.
