WHAT TO LOOK
After a month late, the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) will finally release GDP data for the fourth quarter at 8:30 am ET. The BEA will combine the initial and second Q4 GDP reports to try to catch up with the government's backlog.
The US economy experienced strong growth in 2018, but economists expect a slowdown in the fourth quarter. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expect economy to post annualized growth of 2.2% in the quarter, down from 3.5% growth in the third quarter and record growth 4.2% in the second quarter.
