Yankees, Red Sox fans scuffle in the stands in viral video

Fans of the Yankees and Red Sox stole the show from the post-All-Star Break series this weekend.

A group of Yankees fans dressed in Derek Jeter appeared to outnumber a few Boston fans in a brawl in the stands that was filmed in the Bronx Bombers 3-1 win on Saturday.

Several passers-by tried to end the brawl before stadium security appeared to escort a Yankees fan, clad in a No.99 Judge Aaron t-shirt, out of the section.

Meanwhile, another Yankees fan, wearing a blue Jeter No.2 T-shirt, continued to throw back-to-back punches before being held back.

It is not known if the police have been called or if legal action has been taken.

The altercation wasn’t the only controversial moment in the game between fans.

A Yankees fan was kicked out after throwing a ball that hit Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo – who wasn’t happy to be pegged, either.

The culprit was then banned for life from the 29 MLB parks, a spokesperson said on Sunday.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora called fan action “bad” and noted tensions were high inside Yankee Stadium during the rivals’ game.

“[Saturday] was an incident. Someone made a bad decision throwing a baseball. … One thing’s for sure, when I went there it was loud and it got mean, on both sides, ”Cora said.

“I just needed to calm down [Verdugo] down. That’s the only reason I took everyone off the field.
