You can already buy TRD tuning parts for the Toyota GR Supra A90

Toyota released the first official TRD parts of the A90 GR Supra just a week after European journalists – including us – seized the car for the first time.

The selection – sold in Japan – is pretty small initially, and there is no engine boost option yet (we know you want to know), but each of the TRD upgrades is designed to slightly improve performance. First is a set of carbon-reinforced plastic body extras (CFRP) that enhance stability and handling at high speeds.

The modifications planned by TRD begin with a three-piece GR front splitter that lowers the chin by 14 mm and adds wider side fins that help divert air around the wheel arches. When traveling fast enough for this to have an effect, the configuration first adds a small downforce and then, at very high speed, reduces front axle lift for greater stability and reduced stress. tightening when turning.

On the sides, there is a pair of side skirts GR which release the edges of 4 mm and which, in addition, are pretty. Above, GR trim inserts for doors, designed to suppress turbulence and smooth the airflow to the rear. All sides are made from the same CFRP as the splitter.

At the rear, the body kit is complemented by large side baffles that reduce the effective turn height by 24 mm and reduce drag and turbulence to the point where the air comes off the car. These supplements (also made of CFRP) improve rear stability at high speeds and should therefore be useful for track use.

The latest addition to the body is a nice boot spoiler in CFRP. Designed to enhance the front-rear aerodynamic balance by adding a little more backing force, the lip spoiler also looks sublime and should smooth the flow of air when you're in the mood. 39, he presses on the rear wheels.

Finally, there is a forged wheel TRD black design raced with 10 double branches. These 19-inch hoops are nine inches wide at the front and 10 at the rear, suitable for 255/35 and 275/35 tires respectively.

TRD says they improve steering response and stability in a straight line. All we know is that they look good enough to eat.
