You can definitely see Weasel’s penis in ‘The Suicide Squad’

Below, you’ll find spoilers for James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad,” as well as some NSFW footage from Weasel.

It’s hard to call a character in “The Suicide Squad” a stage thief, as they are all stage thieves. But some of them steal scenes more than others, like Weasel. This crossed-eyed creature is only in the movie for about five or six minutes, but it makes a strong impression.

And also his penis drags.

He’s hard to spot on first viewing because he’s very hairy * out there *, and also because there aren’t a ton of Weasel’s full body photos to work with. But you can see it in two shots when it’s first shown – when it comes out of the Armored Prisoner Transport and when Team 1 makes their hero shot of everyone in line walking towards the camera. I have screenshots for you which I thinned out so that they are easier to see.

And just for the sake of driving the point home, here’s a gif.

Suicide Squad Has A Cameo Of Secret Guardians Of The Galaxy James Gunn

While the presence of Weasel’s penis doesn’t really matter, I appreciate the commitment to doing what James Gunn seems to have had with “The Suicide Squad”. It’s so crass and so violent, and also a little depressing – but also hilarious and full of funny weirdness. This particular little detail, which few people seem to have noticed so far, is the kind of thing that will keep me coming back. I bet there are a lot more weird hidden gags like this throughout this movie.

But, I have to say, Weasel is definitely more than his penis. He’s a child murderer who stole our hearts in moments on screen. I probably don’t need to advocate for more weasel in the DC Movieverse, but I’ll do it anyway. And I promise it’s not just because I think we need more funny naked animals in the movies. Although that is certainly one of my reasons.

The case for More Weasel in the DC Movieverse

In the opening segment of “The Suicide Squad,” Amanda Waller’s Task Force X truly lives up to its nickname. And an eclectic team of villains are sent to invade a South American island nation – and most of them are killed pretty quickly. The first to leave (apparently) was Weasel, who appeared to drown as soon as he fell into the water near the beach.

It was an absolutely hilarious moment, but it turned out bittersweet – Savant (Michael Rooker) dragged Weasel to earth and then declared him dead. No more weasel, and we’re only eight minutes into the movie.

But he was only dead temporarily, it turns out that at the end of “The Suicide Squad” we learn that he was not dead at all. We don’t know how long he was unconscious on the beach, or what he did after he got up and wandered off into the woods. But we know he’s still alive, and that’s what matters. We know he could come back in another movie.

If this article were a tweet, I would say I would die for my giant trash weasel son. But since this isn’t a tweet, I’ll go into a bit more detail about how much I love my giant trash weasel son.

The problem with Weasel is that it lacks all the signs we would normally associate with intelligence. During our brief time with him, unfortunately, he never demonstrated his ability to communicate with anyone, and he doesn’t even really recognize the other characters – he almost never even looks to anyone. There is clearly something going on in his noggin, as he uses a seat belt and manages to hold on well.

So in practice what we get every time Weasel is on screen is a fun animal video. He’s just hanging out, looking weird, his eyes and mouth twitch as he makes grumpy cat sounds. This is a great testament to the work of Sean Gunn, who is the man in that CGI costume, that he was able to make this mangy cat man perhaps the cutest part of “The Suicide Squad”.

It’s also a testament to how good “The Suicide Squad is in general that Rick Flag (Joel Kinnamen) can casually point out as Weasel killed 27 kids and we’re just thinking,” Oh, that looks so cute!

There’s probably a limit to how much you can use a character like Weasel before the bit gets old – although that certainly depends on How? ‘Or’ What He is used. But that’s okay, because nobody needs a Weasel movie. But we need more Weasel.

The main contender right now is John Cena’s “Peacemaker” series which will head to HBO Max next year. Peacemaker and Weasel are the only two members of the Suicide Squad who both survived and were not released from Amanda Waller’s control. And James Gunn is also directing five episodes of the show – where James Gunn goes, Sean Gunn typically follows. And he was the key. Sean Gunn plays Rocket Raccoon on set in the MCU before Bradley Cooper provides the vocal performance.

So let’s keep our fingers crossed.
