You can now pre-order Apple Watch Series 7: where to buy, when it ships and more

[ad_1]

Apple announced the new Apple Watch Series 7 a few weeks ago during the launch of its product “California Streaming”. Apple’s new smartwatch is now available for pre-order. This upgrade comes with a larger screen – sizes 41mm and 45mm, each 1mm larger than the 6 Series models – and a more durable frame with IP6X dust resistance.

The Watch Series 7 also has a QWERTY keyboard interface instead of using your finger to draw each letter on the screen. Plus, there’s a brighter screen and faster charging if you want to keep it on overnight for sleep tracking. And it comes in 10 different case finishes and three types of materials, so you can choose aluminum, stainless steel or titanium again. You can pre-order the watch now, but some models are already out of stock until early November. That said, it will hit store shelves on Friday, October 15.

As usual, you won’t find many sales or deals on a brand new Apple product. But after the iPhone 13 launched, there are trade-in options: Verizon offers up to $ 200 off, but you’ll need one to sign up for a mobile phone contract. We’ll give you the full price breakdown for the different styles of watches and the retailers that carry the latest Apple equipment.

When is Apple Watch available for pre-order?

Apple opened Watch Series 7 pre-orders on Friday, October 8, shortly after 5:00 a.m. PT (8:00 a.m.ET, 1:00 p.m. BST). All versions of the Apple Watch will be available for pre-order at the same time, using the same payment system on the website or the Apple Store app on your phone.

Apple Watch Series 7 will begin shipping the following Friday, October 15. If you can order early, you will receive your watch on the 15th. The longer your pre-order, the longer your delivery will be.

How much does the Apple Watch Series 7 cost?

Apple previously announced the Series 7 would start at $ 399, but now that pre-orders have started, pricing for the full line has been fully revealed. Overall, last year’s 6 Series pricing model remains intact:

  • Apple Watch Series 7 (aluminum): from $ 399
  • Apple Watch Series 7 (aluminum): from $ 699
  • Apple Watch Series 7 (titanium): From $ 799
  • Apple Watch Series 7 (Nike): From $ 399
  • Apple Watch Series 7 (Hermès): From $ 1,249

For each of these, add $ 30 when you upgrade to the 45mm size and $ 100 when you upgrade to a cellular model (which will also require a monthly wireless plan if you want to access services and make calls in. outside Wi-Fi access points).

Where can I buy the non-Apple Apple Watch?

Yes. Now that pre-orders are open, you can pre-order the Apple Watch Series 7 at authorized Apple retailers including Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. Starting October 15, Series 7 will also be available in stores.

Will my old Apple Watch bands and accessories still work?

For the most part, yes. Despite the larger screen size, the Series 7 is designed to be backwards compatible with existing watch straps from previous models. It should also work with older chargers, although they won’t charge it as quickly as the newer one that came with the 7-series. This one will charge up to 33% faster than the 6-series models, according to Apple.

Apple

Although it is often considered the “base model” of Apple Watch, it is also the version with the most colors available. And with Apple’s promise that the Series 7 is the most durable watch yet, there’s even less chance the softer metal will take serious damage while you own it. It’s also nice that anyone upgrading from a previous Apple Watch to this new model can bring their favorite bracelet with them to this new Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch Series 7 aluminum will be available in Product Red, Midnight (Black), Starlight (Silver), Green, and Blue.

If Apple promises an even more durable body with the Aluminum model, why pay extra for the stainless steel body? This upgrade is actually more than a status symbol. Stainless steel is considerably more durable than aluminum, so if you work or play harder than most, this design will keep you from developing scratches on your body in the long run. It’s a must-have option for people who want an Apple Watch but need something a little more rugged than the average user, aside from looking smart in more formal settings.

The Apple Watch Series 7 in stainless steel is available in silver, graphite and gold.

Apple

While it is true that titanium is stronger and conducts heat better than stainless steel, then it is technically possible for the titanium body of the Apple Watch to survive more damage and run slightly cooler than stainless steel. its counterparts, the differences would be almost undetectable on something this size. Instead, you get the Apple Watch titanium case because it looks like nothing else and feels like a classic watch on your wrist. But if the technical advantages help you justify the extra cost, go for it.

The Apple Watch Series 7 in titanium is available in natural (gray) and space black.

Apple

While the physical body and internal mechanics are all exactly the same as the aluminum Apple Watch Series 7 listed above, the Nike edition includes one of several custom Nike-themed fitness bands and access to fitness software and dials exclusive to this model in partnership with Nike. So if the Apple Watch is for you and you love Nike products, this is the one for you.

The Nike Apple Watch Series 7 is available in Silver and Space Gray.

Apple

While the stainless steel body of this model is the same on any stainless steel Apple Watch Series 7, the Hermès version stands out. This version of the Apple Watch comes with one of the many handcrafted leather straps by Hermès, as well as watch faces personalized with the Hermès logo. These versions of the Apple Watch are end-to-end fashion statements, so at a minimum you’ll want to consider swapping the straps before starting a workout.
