“You know he’s younger than me, don’t you?” – Matt LaFleur and Arthur Smith exchange playful jabs

Everything is fun and playful until you incorporate methods of preserving the color of someone’s hair.

On Tuesday, Atlanta Falcons coach Arthur Smith took the opportunity to cast a light shadow on his friend and former colleague, Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur.

Smith – who worked under LaFleur while LaFleur was the Tennessee Titans’ offensive coordinator in 2018 and took over appeal duties after LaFleur left for Green Bay – suggested his NFC rival might have a touch of good vanity. the old-fashioned way when he commented to reporters that LaFleur spends too much time looking in the mirror before games.

Of course, LaFleur couldn’t let her boyfriend’s remark go unanswered. On Wednesday, the Packers coach explained that while he was busy checking his clothes looked good, Smith was concerned about “trying to style his hair properly with this Just For Men.”

For those who don’t know, Just For Men products are best known for their ability to combat graying of hair.

LaFleur even took off his cap and revealed his decidedly not-gray face to get the point across, saying, “You guys know he’s younger than me, right?”

Cold.

Smith did not appear too bothered by the accusation at the time of his rebuttal, explaining that he “has been going gray for 20 years.”

The Falcons coach, however, pointed out how long it took his friend to find an answer.

Smith concluded his thoughts on the matter by reiterating that the two are good friends and that he had spoken with LaFleur on the way to practice.

All’s well that ends well … for now.
