Once the game of thrones is finally played, how are you going to fill your time?

You can watch some of best fantasy TV shows and action already available, or you can return to George R.R. Martin's novels when he's finished finishing the Song of Ice and Fire series that inspired the resounding success of HBO. But what?

Foundation

The first Foundation series of Isaac Asimov arrives on Apple's streaming service, Apple TV Plus. Beginning as a series of news in 1942, the Foundation's books constitute a vast and dense sci-fi saga about scientists trying to stave off a dark and imminent age. The series of 10 episodes is developed by Josh Friedman, the man behind the TV series Terminator, and David Goyer, co-author of the Dark Knight movies.

Game of Thrones fans will be interested to know that George R. Martin is an executive producer of the HBO show based on the 2015 Nnedi Okorafor novel. The post-apocalyptic afrofuturiste This story follows the young Onyesonwu in search of her father, a wizard who raped her mother. She is being adapted by Selwn Seyfu Hinds, editor of Twilight Zone.

David Tennant and Michael Sheen are perfectly fused in the role of demon and angel who is putting a key in the works of the apocalypse in Good Omens on Amazon. The mini-series is based on the incredibly amusing novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, published in 1990 about the delicious antics that ensue when the antichrist accidentally grows up with the wrong family. While many more on this list are still in development, Good Omens will debut soon on May 31st.

the Lord of the Rings

Amazon paid a quarter of a billion dollars for the rights of a new TV show based on J. R. R. TolkienThe stories of The Lord of the Rings, because those who have not watched the movie series of Peter Jackson and who are told: yes, it's good, but it could be longer. Rumors suggest that the series of Amazon Video could be located in the distant history of Middle-earth, years before the events of The Hobbit, The Community of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. Forget the disappointing 2007 movie version of The Golden Compass. This planned adaptation of the BBC is a television show, which should give the space and depth necessary to give a satisfactory interpretation to Philip Pullman's Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass novels. Led by some of the producers behind Doctor Who, the story follows young Lyra in an adventure encompassing twisted parallel versions of our reality. Dafne Keen of Logan plays Lyra with James McAvoy and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The Kingkiller Chronicle

Hamilton's creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and cult director Sam Raimi would oversee the television and film adaptations of this recent series by author Patrick Rothfuss. Released for the first time in 2007, The Name of the Wind and the sequel The Wise Man's Fear tell the memories of musician and magician Kvothe. Like Game of Thrones, the latest book titled The Doors of Stone has not been released yet.

Consider Phlebas

The boss of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, personally endorsed the announcement that Amazon's streaming service is adapting the 1987 novel by Iain M. Banks, the first from the Culture series. These heavy space opera stories unfold in a utopian society in which civilizations clumsily coexist with each other and with artificial intelligence, while spaceships carry names such as "Prosthetics of Conscience" and "No More Mr Nice" Guy ".

Prequel on Game of Thrones

OK, so maybe nothing can replace Game of Thrones. If only Westeros will do the business, HBO has you covered with a Game of Thrones prequel series set centuries before the show to success.
