Amazon The second-generation Fire TV Stick Smart TVs, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick Basic Edition and Fire TV Edition manufactured by OEM partners will all benefit from support for the official YouTube application at from today, and Amazon extend support for even more of its hardware in the future. Youtube TV and YouTube Kids will also be coming to Amazon Fire TV devices later this year.
From Google, its own Chromecast devices, as well as TVs and hardware partners that support Chromecast's built-in, or that run on Android TV, will benefit greatly from the support of Prime Video. In addition, all Chromecast Ultra owners will also have access to the Premium Video library of 4,000 titles normally reserved for Premium members at no additional cost as part of the new agreement between the two companies.
To date, Prime is available on some Android TV devices, but its range is expanding to a much wider range of today's smart TVs and broadcast boxes.
It took a lot of time – many years in fact, the most recent niche between the two resulting from Amazon's implementation of Amazon on Echo Show.
