There is probably no other feature mentioned more often in YouTube Music than Android Auto support. Of course, you can manually launch and control the application on your phone when it is connected to the car and get some music, but this is clearly not what people are asking for. Tips for car assistance were added to the APK a few months ago, but this promise was finally kept. Starting from version 3.03, you can now use YouTube Music directly through the Android Auto interface.
Android Auto support
Like any other music player on Android Auto, you can switch to YouTube Music by opening the Music tab and pressing the button a second time to open the source selector. Since the list is sorted alphabetically, YouTube Music will unfortunately appear at the bottom of the list. You will probably find it on the second or third page of the applications, until you select it. selected.
The navigation menu offers five options: Your Mixtape, Recommended, Last Read, Library, and Downloads. By default, you will be added to the Recommended list unless something is already playing.
Because YouTube Music is not organized in the same rigid genres as Google Play Music, you will not find standard categories in the list of recommendations. All of the above comes from the general recommendations group or automatically generated playlists based on your listening habits. As you can imagine, standard lists cover the most popular genres. Let's be honest, if your music tastes do not match any of these lists, it probably does not fit any genre in Google Play Music either.
