There are limits, at least in the current iteration. You can not add local tracks to playlists or queues that include YouTube Music songs, and you can not play local songs elsewhere. Unsurprisingly, playback controls also remove features specific to YouTube, such as similar buttons or not. However, if these solutions are not decisive, you now have the means to follow Google's current vision of music without too much compromise.
