(Reuters) – YouTube, owned by Google of Alphabet Inc. GOOGL.O, said Wednesday night it was fixing an error, which the Downdetector.com outage monitoring website said was affecting around 286,000 users.
“Our team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. We’ll provide you with all updates here,” YouTube said in a tweet. here.
The problem began around 6:53 p.m. ET (11:53 p.m. GMT), according to Downdetector.com, with users complaining of issues watching videos on the platform.
Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters on the number of users affected by the outage on the video streaming platform.
