Twitter suspends Marjorie Taylor Greene's account for a week

Paul criticized YouTube’s decision in a tweet on Tuesday.

“Left-wing morons on YouTube banned me for 7 days for a video that cites 2 peer-reviewed articles saying cloth masks don’t work,” he wrote, calling the suspension a “badass. ‘honor”.

Paul’s tweet included a link to watch the video on another platform.

YouTube reported that examples of offensive content in the video included the following line: “Most of the masks you get over the counter don’t work. They don’t prevent infection.”

It also included the quote: “Trying to shape human behavior is not the same as following the real science that tells us cloth masks don’t work.”

The suspension comes on the same day Twitter banned Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account for a week following another violation of the platform’s rules.

Greene tweeted Monday that the Food and Drug Administration “should not approve covid vaccines.” She also claimed that the vaccines “failed” and were ineffective in reducing the spread of the virus.

In response, Twitter (TWTR) called the tweet misleading and stopped Greene from tweeting for a week.
