NEW YORK – Zac Efron thinks that the white privilege allowed Ted Bundy, the notorious serial killer, to get away with his crimes so long.
The 31-year-old "Baywatch" star plays the role of Bundy in the new film "Extremely Bad, Scandalously Ugly and Ugly," which traces the life and crimes of the infamous murderer from the perspective of his girlfriend. Fox News met Efron on the red carpet of the Tribeca Film Festival in which he explained how, according to him, Bundy had been shooting with a murder for so many years.

"Ted Bundy is a vile and vile human being. That's not part of it at all … I can not express how much I hate the man this film is talking about, "he said. "The fact is that this movie really happened. The fact is that the whole world, literally, every media, everybody, was able to believe that this guy was innocent. Talk about white privilege, talk about whites … whatever. All the main topics of this film are intended to show you how perverse this person is. "

Efron's remarks echo remarks similar to those he made when appearing on Ellen DeGeneres' show.

Efron has already been criticized for presenting a sympathetic face to Bundy, who has confessed to some 30 murders and is suspected of many others. However, the star told Fox News that he thought the film's content would make it clear that Bundy is not commendable.
