Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Mod Upgrades Link’s House To Make It “A Better Buy”

Zelda fan and modder Waikuteru is back with another mod for the incredibly popular Switch title Breath of the wild.

Following the restoration of the unused ‘Dungeon136’ shrine, they’ve now decided to ‘re-imagine’ what owning a house looks like in the game. If you’ve played Breath of the Wild yourself, you’ll know how. you need to save supplies and rupees for Link’s house. This mod apparently goes the extra mile – making it “a worthwhile buy”.

“Outside the village of Hateno, there is a cozy little house that you can buy and own! In the base game, the house does little more than being a place to store equipment (and complete a quest).

“This mod reinvents owning a BOTW house to make it a worthwhile buy – something you’ll want to use regularly – all the time, maintaining the original playing feel and gameplay balance.”

To achieve this, Waikuteru has improved the home experience with a fast travel point, a hot fire to prepare meals, a bed – which now allows Link to “sleep very long” to regain three bonus hearts, and he there are even paintings with concept art from the developers.

To top it off, some “extra lighting and tasteful decorations” and Link gets his own pet (a chicken). It is also possible to fish in the nearby pond the Hylian bass and store your trusty steed in a stable.
