Zelda: Link's Awakening Guide – Secret Location of Seashells

The legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is largely the same game on Nintendo Switch as 25 years ago on Game Boy. The remake is true to the original design of the dungeon, its strange charm and gameplay in general, but with an artistic style reminiscent of toys that gives Koholint a new life. There are however some new additions, including a number of collectibles that were not in the original. There are now 50 secret shells to discover, from version 26 of the Game Boy, and some require a little creativity.

Below, you can view a full map of each secret seashell location in Link's Awakening. The collection of these shells will bring you some rewards, including pieces of heart. It is therefore good to keep an eye on them. After collecting 15 shells and giving them to the Seashell Mansion, you will also get a tool called Seashell Sensor, which will detect each time you approach a shell, which will greatly facilitate your search. You can also disable the Seashell sensor in the menu if you want to take on more challenges.

Many seashells can be discovered in remarkable places and solving puzzles, while others are priced for various mini games. The map below does not tell you the exact location of each shell. See the tips below if you hear the sound of the sensor and are not sure where it is coming from.

• Many shells are buried. Buy a shovel and dig in mysterious places! If you have a certain Chain Chomp with you, it will even tell you where to dig.

• There are also seashells under water at various locations on the map. Once you can swim, they will be easy to get.

• If you see a remarkable tree, try it with the power of your Pegasus Boots. It will not hurt, I promise.

• If you see a mysterious and very obvious hole in the ground (bigger than the normal holes in which you can fall), try throwing a bomb and see what happens.

• A shell requires you to play a melody where you previously needed music to solve a puzzle. This one is near Animal Village. If you know, you know.

• The first dungeon includes a secret room with a shell. Look for a wall where you can blow up bombs (you can buy them at any time at the Mabe village shop).

• There are two seashells at the "trendy game" in the village of Mabe, one at the store, two at fishing and one to win while playing "dungeon" mode in Dampe's Shack.
