Zelina Vega goes live on Twitch after WWE exit, she’s not done with pro wrestling

Zelina Vega was uploaded to Twitch just hours after announcing her WWE exit.

Vega said she wasn’t angry and was just grateful. She noted that she was building a house and indicated that Twitch is helping her with her sanity.

She said, “My first love is wrestling and I’m not giving up on that.” She also encouraged her fans not to be afraid to stand up for themselves. She hasn’t ripped WWE apart and it wouldn’t be smart to do so, especially since she’s under a 90-day non-competition.

She added, “I am sad and my heart broken. Obviously, this is not the last you are going to see of me… I love you all and I am so very grateful to each of you. If I come down like someone who fought back, so be it. I am always grateful, I am not angry. I’m just heartbroken because doing that, being a wrestler is all I ever wanted to do. I don’t really know what to say, there are so many things I want to say but I don’t know how.

She also thanked everyone behind the scenes in WWE that she’s worked with.

As previously reported, WWE reported that Vega was released just minutes after she tweeted, “I support unionization.” Vega took issue with WWE trying to take over the accounts of Twitch wrestlers.

WWE posted a job posting for GFX Motion Designer on Twitch, so it looks like they are planning to launch their own channel on the streaming service soon. This would likely be the reason they sent out an executive order prohibiting talents from maintaining their own account.
