Netflix releases first trailer for its $ 30 million Toronto pickup Malcolm and Marie, featuring Euphoria Winner Emmy Zendaya and Principle and BlacKKKlansman star John David Washington. Check it out above.
The romantic drama comes from writer-director Sam Levinson, which broke in 2018 Assassination nation and went on to create the HBO series directed by Zendaya Euphoria. Malcolm and Marie sees a filmmaker (Washington) and his girlfriend (Zendaya) return home after a festive film premiere as he waits for what is sure to be impending critical and financial success. The evening suddenly takes a turn as revelations about their relationship begin to surface, testing the strength of their love.
Netflix raised $ 30 million for the rights to the photo based on a promotion that ran at the Toronto Film Festival last year.
Kevin Turen and Ashley Levinson produced the photo with Levinson, Zendaya and David Washington. The executive producers are Will Greenfield, Aaron L. Gilbert, Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer and Scott Mescudi. Netflix starts streaming Malcolm and Marie February 5.
