Justin Bieber confirmed that he proposed to model Hailey Baldwin, who happily accepted.
In a long message shared on Instagram Monday, the singer called Baldwin, "the love of my life" and sprung it "would not want to spend it with someone else".
"Hailey, I'm so much in love with you!" he wrote. "I pledge to spend my life knowing every part of you by loving you patiently and kindly, and I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity by letting Jesus guide by His Holy Spirit in all that we let's make and every decision we make, the heart is entirely and entirely yours and I will ALWAYS put you first! "
TMZ reported Sunday that the Bieber, 24, had proposed to Baldwin, 21, while they were on vacation in the Caribbean. In his post on Instagram, the artist noted that even though it was not planned, the date of their engagement – July 7 – has a huge significance.
"The timed gods [sic] are literally perfect, we got engaged on the seventh day of the seventh month, the number seven is the number of spiritual perfection, that's true GOOGLE IT! Is this crazy step? " he wrote. "My God, it's good to have our future secure!" Last May, Bieber and Baldwin were spotted together on the city and even in church, which Bieber pointed out is a big part of his life now. Last month, the outlets published a video of the two kisses in New York. They are also seen holding hands.
Then came Sunday's engagement reports, followed by messages from both Bieber's parents.
His father Jeremy wrote on Instagram, "Proud is a euphemism! Excited for the next chapter!" and her mother, Pattie Mallet, was just as cryptic when she tweeted Saturday, "Love Love Love Love Love Love Love."
