ABC is keeping its retro gaming renaissance alive by relaunching its classic dating show, The dating game. The network is lit green The celebrity dating game, with each episode featuring three contenders competing for the attention of an anonymous celebrity. It will be hosted by two celebrities who know a thing or two about dating other celebrities, Zooey Deschanel and Michael Bolton. Actor and musician Deschanel, if you remember, is currently dating another famous TV host, Property Brothers‘Drew Scott and singer-songwriter Bolton have had a running, recurring relationship with Desperate housewivesNicollette Sheridan until 2008. But the hosts won’t just help their celebrity guests choose a match – Bolton will host ‘special parody performances’ to help suitors guess who celebrities are. (Like, “Jack Sparrow” parody level?) For now, it looks like Deschanel will live without this part of the job.
