ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080, RTX 3070 Custom Graphics Cards Leaked & Illustrated



The first images of the upcoming ZOTAC GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, which will include the GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070, have been released. The footage was leaked by Zotac themselves by accident but were quickly spotted by the leak’s veteran, Momomo_US.

The ZOTAC GeForce RTX 30 series lineup includes a total of eight graphics cards that include the next-gen Trinity, Extreme, and Twin Edge Holo series variants. The Trinity and Extreme cards will feature three-fan cooling designs while the Twin Edge series will feature dual-fan cooling and will only be available with the RTX 3070 graphics card.

What’s interesting about this leak is that it gives us a first look at the PCB design of the GA102 RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 graphics cards also in a full graphics card breakdown. The PCB appears to exhibit a 19 + 1 phase design which appears to confirm earlier reports of a massive 20 phase arrangement. The RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 cards also appear to be powered by a standard 8-pin configuration while the FE cards will have a single 12-pin connector to boot. There are a total of four display outputs which appear to be 3 DisplayPort 1.4a and a single HDMI 2.1 port.

The Trinity Holo’s heat sink is quite huge with two large aluminum batteries cooled by 7 heat pipes. The heat sink also makes direct contact with the GPU through its heat pipes for efficient heat dissipation. The GeForce RTX 3090 has three 8-pin connectors while the RTX 3080 uses two 8-pin connectors.

It also looks like the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity and Extreme variants will come in a three-slot design, while ZOTAC’s GeForce RTX 3080 cards will feature a two-slot or 2.5-slot design. The ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge, on the other hand, comes in a much more compact dual-slot design and has a dual-fan cooling system.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 – Fastest Amp Gaming Graphics Card

According to the leaked details, the GeForce RTX 3090 will feature the GA102-300-A1 GPU. The GA102-300-A1 GPU would be made up of 5248 CUDA or 82 SM cores. In total, this represents a 20% increase in cores compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. No details such as clock speed, number of TMU / ROPs are provided and we cannot take the A100 Ampere Matrix as a benchmark because game pieces and HPC share a different configuration hierarchy. The GA102-300 GPU will clock up to an amplification frequency of 1695 MHz.

When it comes to memory, things are starting to look interesting as it is stated that the card will get up to 24GB of memory with faster GDDR6X spindle speeds of 19.5Gbps. Since this is a 384-bit bus that we are looking at, it will be able to offer bandwidth close to 1TB / s. The GeForce RTX 3090 will come with a total graphics power of 350W (TGP). According to recent leaks, the GeForce RTX 3090 is expected to cost US $ 1,399.

Moving on to the GeForce RTX 3080, it is rumored that the card will feature the GA102-200-KD-A1 SKU. This scaled-down SKU will feature the same 4,352 CUDA cores as the RTX 2080 Ti which will be arranged in a total of 68 SM. The GPU will feature a maximum clock speed of 1710 MHz.

The card would offer up to 10GB of memory which will also be GDDR6X, but several vendors will offer the card with a massive 20GB frame buffer, but at higher prices. Since the memory operates at 19 Gbps on a 320-bit bus interface, we can expect bandwidth of up to 760 Gbps.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 – Sweet-Spot Gaming Amp for the Masses

The switch to GA102 from TU104 on the RTX 2080 is certainly interesting. A high-end SKU would also result in higher horsepower and thermals, but I think it could be done to raise the bar in the under $ 500 segment which should include the GA104-based RTX 3070 and RTX 3060.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 will as such be equipped with the Ampere GA104-300 GPU. The specs are suggested at around 2944-3072, the same as existing RTX 2080 (SUPER) cards. The base specs aren’t known, but the graphics card is said to feature a 220W TGP and 8GB of GDDR6 memory with speeds of up to 16Gbps. This would give the card 512 GB / s of bandwidth.

The latest performance leaks also show a huge performance improvement over the RTX 2080 and even the RTX 2080 Ti in synthetic benchmarks. If the same could translate into gaming performance, then Ampere looks like a super appealing product for gamers who have been waiting for almost 2 years now.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 ‘Ampere’ Gaming line of graphics cards are expected to be announced on September 1 at a digital event to be hosted by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. We’re expecting at least three new graphics cards at the event, including the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (or RTX 3090), GeForce RTX 3080, and a next-gen Titan. There is certainly a lot more to talk about regarding Ampere GPUs, but we’ll have to wait until more information comes to us.
