Federal regulators investigating Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) for mishandling the personal information of its users have turned to CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Discussions on how to hold Zuckerberg accountable for Facebook's data errors took place amid extensive discussions between the FTC and Facebook that could resolve the government's more than a year-long investigation. The Washington Post reports.
The agency began investigating Facebook in March 2018 as a result of information that Cambridge Analytica allegedly incorrectly accessed data related to approximately 87 million users of the social network site.
