Although some fully vaccinated people are infected with COVID-19, health officials widely agree that vaccination is the most effective way to prevent serious consequences.
Local data continues to show that residents who are not vaccinated are much more likely to be infected with COVID-19 than those who are fully vaccinated.
The local case rate for unvaccinated people fell from a peak of 82 cases per 100,000 people last week to 67 people per 100,000 people, while the case rate for fully vaccinated people fell for a fourth consecutive week at 11 per 100,000 inhabitants.
