According to Mobile Police Chief Lawrence Battiste, two people were arrested after at least 10 people were shot dead after a football game at a high school in Alabama.

The injured were between 15 and 18 years old. They were taken to the hospital in the area. Nobody died.

Battist did not confirm to reporters that the shooting came from an altercation, but he rebuked the youth for "bringing their oxen that they have with each other in their quarters" in public places and "put people at risk".

The incident "may have been a threat directed against one or two people and other people have fallen prey to their recklessness," added Battiste.

One person had an epileptic seizure and another an injured hand, but it is not known if these people were among the 10 people who were shot.

"Why do young people bring this type of violence to public events?" Battiste said at a press conference. "We will have to be more aggressive on the part of our city regarding how we hold these people accountable."
