SportsPulse: The NFL project is over. Trysta Krick looks at the scenarios that will define the 2019 season for all CFA teams.
UNITED STATES TODAY & # 39; HUI

The NFL's 2019 project is now over, the process of building up the lineup for the 32 teams in the league is nearing completion before next season.

Of course, the clubs are going to tinker – former free agents like Ndamukong Suh, Eric Berry, Michael Crabtree and Ziggy Ansah are not signed. But even with wall writing for veterans like Eli Manning of the Giants, Joe Flacco of the Broncos and Andy Dalton of the Bengals – each of their teams has just picked a quarter – their entry-level positions seem safe for the first week, and probably all year.

However, other established players might find themselves in motion. For example, with Devin Bush in the first round, the Steelers eliminated Jon Bostic, who played 14 games last season, after the end of the Saturday night draft.

Here are some others whose jobs seem suddenly tenuous considering the recruits who are going to them:

Eagles WR Nelson Agholor: For a guy who has never passed the 800 yard receiving in a season, the $ 9.4 million of his fifth year option could be more cheddar than Philly wants to swallow, especially with WR JJ's second round. Arcega-Whiteside entering the mix alongside veterans Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson.

Patriots P Ryan Allen: One of the unsung heroes of Super Bowl LIII, it looks like it will be his last match for New England. Bill Belichick did not spend a fifth stakeholder with Jacob Bailey of Stanford with the intention of keeping two punters – all the more than just $ 100,000 of the $ 1.5 million salary from Allen for 2019 are guaranteed.

Dolphin quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick: I hope you have a lot of cake during your honeymoon as a Miami starter since the new coaching staff has every interest in taking a long look at Josh Rosen, newly acquired, to determine how he fits in in the future of this franchise. Fitzpatrick could be an instant commercial asset if another quarterback team collapses in the coming months.

WR Tyreek Hill Chiefs: There is no performance problem here, Hill has received the honors of the Pro Bowl during his three seasons in the NFL and has appointed a fully professional receiver for the first time in 2018. But after the county attorney's office by Johnson (Kan.) Has reopened investigation Four years after Hill pleaded guilty to assault and the battery of his current fiancée, Hill abused his 3-year-old son. It seems increasingly likely that he will not be part of this team. How else to explain Kansas City's decision to spend its first pick (56th overall) on WR Mecole Hardman, whose game is similar to Hill's even though the level of talent is not the same, despite the problems club's defense and reality WR Sammy Watkins signed a $ 48 million contract over three years last year?

Eagles RB Jordan Howard: Acquired from the Bears during a transaction in March, he is under contract only for 2019 and risks finding himself fighting the second, Miles Sanders, who could be the most explosive player and the most versatile on a mixed depth map. Howard could be another guy who is moved if the return of another team decreases this summer.

HQ Brian Hoyer des Patriotes: The backup of Tom Brady, 33, is under contract for another year. And while it makes sense to carry three passers-by, as Jarrett Stidham of Auburn arrived at the fourth round, New England was comfortable keeping only Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo in 2014, his rookie season.

Giants CB Janoris Jenkins: He did not respect the $ 62.5 million five-year contract signed in 2016, and his name floated on the trading deadline last October. More telling, the Giants have just added two corners (Deandre Baker and Julian Love) after taking Sam Beal in the 2018 draft. Could this be a strange situation, given the money and performance Jenkins?

Raiders S Karl Joseph: For the past six weeks, Oakland has signed a $ 42 million contract with Lamarcus Joyner for a four-year period, and has chosen Johnathan Abram in the first round. Where does Joseph stay, whose fifth year option has not yet been selected? "I think it's a conversation we'll have with Karl," said general manager Mike Mayock, asked about the future of the former first round.

RB LeSean McCoy Bills: He worked wonders in a limited offense for several years before experiencing a sharp drop in production in 2018 (514 yards rushing in 14 games). With veterinary teammate Frank Gore on board, Devin Singletary and his fresh legs, it's interesting to wonder if McCoy could become a trade bait or cap.

Cardinals DL Robert Nkemdiche: It has been a huge disappointment since his participation in the first round three years ago. Arizona has not yet chosen its fifth-year option and, having secured Boston College's Zach Allen selection in the third round, may no longer need Nkemdiche.

Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph: He owed $ 7.6 million at the beginning of the last year of his contract and did not live up to that salary last season. The second multidimensional player Irv Smith Jr. will take the targets (and work) of Rudolph at some point, it's just a question of when.

Alex Smith, quarterback of the Redskins: His ongoing recovery after the terrible leg injury of last year casts serious doubt about his future in the NFL. But with Washington taking Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State) in the first round – and companions Case Keenum and Colt McCoy under contract for 2019 – it's worth wondering if Smith played his last shot in the nation's capital or whether he and l 39; The team are comfortable with the thought that it would potentially return to a backup role in 2020.

49ers DL Salomon Thomas: Even after choosing DE Nick Bosa as second overall, general manager John Lynch said Thursday that Thomas, the underperforming # 3 choice in 2017, was "absolutely" part of the team's plans despite the overabundance of top players in San Francisco. D-line. Lynch is a pretty straight shot, but it would not be shocking if things changed – especially if he got an offer in the training camp for example and decided that the team and Thomas could all two benefit from a change of scenery.
