14 new COVID-19 deaths in UDOH’s Saturday case tally

New cases
3,395 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported, bringing the state’s total to 173,979.

Test
16,270 new tests have been reported since Friday’s case count. 1,315,034 people have now been tested for COVID-19 in Utah.
The seven-day moving average of positive cases is now 3,229 per day, or about 23.7% of cases tested.

Hospitalizations
551 people are currently hospitalized for COVID-19. There have been 7,458 people in Utah hospitalized with the virus since March.

Death
14 new deaths have been reported, bringing the statewide death toll to 787. New deaths reported include:

  • Female, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, resident in long-term care facility
  • Female, 25-44, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female over 85, resident of Salt Lake County, resident in long-term care facility
  • Male, over 85, resident of Weber County, resident of long-term care facility
  • Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, resident in long-term care facility
  • Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male over 85, resident of Utah County, resident in long-term care facility
  • Male, 65-84, Wasatch County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Emery County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Weber County, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, aged 45 to 64, resident of Washington County, hospitalized at time of death
