Public health officials said the first patient who was diagnosed with legionnaires was admitted to the hospital on April 29, the day after it was opened.

The hospital said on Thursday that water restrictions for floors 2 to 7 have been lifted following the implementation of several measures to combat the spread of Legionella.

Because the incubation period of the disease can last up to 14 days, several diagnoses are possible.

People are infected with the severe form of pneumonia by inhalation of water droplets in the air containing Legionella bacterium.
