FREWSBOURG – Drivers of two vehicles involved in a frontal crash on Friday afternoon were airlifted to hospital.
The accident happened at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Falconer Frewsburg Road in the town of Carroll.
New York State Police said a southbound vehicle driven by Frewsburg resident Melissa Crofka drifted into the oncoming lane and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by a resident by Randolph, Stephanie Cronk.
Both sustained multiple injuries and were transported by helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania.
In addition to state police, Frewsburg and Falconer firefighters responded as well as Chautauqua County accident relief and reconstruction teams.
